“I know of no more stunning setting for a golf course”

“One of the best kept secrets in Irish Golf”

“Dooks is maybe the loveliest little golf club in the world. Certainly I have never been totally surrounded by superb scenery than at Dooks.”

“It was a dreamlike experience, playing over the rolling hills and guessing often wrongly, which hollow would harbour a green.”

“We are delighted at this design challenge – it is indeed a case of polishing an exquisite gem.”

I love this place…water on 3-sides, it’s a blast. Don’t drive by this gem.

“Dooks is one of the oldest Golf Clubs in Ireland (1889) and is located in exquisite surroundings. For most of its existence it carried the tag of ‘quirky.’ A most inadequate description since its third millennium makeover by R&A architect, Martin Hawtree. Dooks has become a challenging, exciting and enjoyable test that stands comparison with nearby Waterville and Ballybunion. Don’t miss it, if golfing in Kerry.”

“Michelle, I would like to share our experience at Dooks with you and your management team. We came to Ireland from Chicago for an 8 day 7 course golf trip. We golfed all of the popular and familiar named courses, but most of us had not heard of Dooks. I can’t stress how much we loved your course! We called it the best kept secret in all of South West Ireland!

The course was not only challenging, but very picturesque. Every staff member from the caddies to the club house management, from the pro shop to the bartenders were all top notch and professional. In addition, the members we met in the Natterjacks Bar were extremely friendly and welcoming. They were genuinely interested in not only where we were from, but where else we played. They asked what we thought of their course and asked what they could do to improve. Everyone had a sense of pride in Dooks, and with good reason.

At the end of the trip we all polled each other and asked where we would join if we lived in the area. Six of the guys answered Dooks and the other two (who are quite pretentious) mentioned the other course.

It is a testament to not only your course, but your entire team who run the day to day operations at Dooks. Thank you again for making our trip to Ireland so very special!”

“Just wanted to send you a quick note to commend you on what a wonderful place Dooks Golf is to visit and play. I appreciate very much your warm hospitality and the extension of privileges for our group.”

“Thank you so much for your hospitality yesterday. Just getting out and around on such a wonderful course did me so much good.”

“Dooks was indeed the best course we played and we will all highly recommend it to any other groups traveling to Ireland. After golf we took some time to enjoy the company of others in the bar area. The hospitality was outstanding with a most gracious staff. Thanks again for providing an outstanding day of golf with many memories.”

“A special thank you to the Committee and Members of Dooks Golf Club, the hospitality extended to us was wonderful. Your Course is very special, with beautiful views”

“Three of my childhood friends and I all turned 60 years old this year and to celebrate we went to Ireland with our wives and to play some golf. One of the courses we played was Dooks.

I remember walking up to the 2nd tee box and the exact word that came out of my mouth was “WOW” and as I looked around further my second word was the same, “WOW” with almost a laugh. As we continued to play the words went from wow to “this just keeps getting better” to “this is the most beautiful course I’ve ever played”. Before we even finished 9 holes the game of golf had taken 2nd stage, for it could not complete with the beauty of God’s Nature.

I will never forget the experience of playing Dooks Golf Club and will recommend it to anyone I hear of traveling to Ireland. Your course quite simply is a ‘Thing of Beauty'”.

“A big thank you ! We played recently and had a great time. The weather was nice which helps but the outstanding feature was the course – it was in great condition and a true test of links play and if struggling like some of us did, you had them views which are breath taking. Friendly helpful staff, nice food and in our 15 years of visiting Ireland, your course is up there with the best. We hope to visit again soon.”

“On behalf of all the Woking Irish Golf Society members, I want to say a big thank you to you and all your staff for the hospitality extended to us on are recent visit. The lads really enjoyed it.”

Good Morning from a very beautiful sunny Rotherham!

“I have been asked to write to you by the 13 gents that have been with you since Sunday this week. The professionalism, friendliness and hospitality that was shown has been second to none, especially from Tom. Only 3 out of the 13, had been to Ireland before so was expecting the warm and friendly welcome that is the norm but for the other 10 it was first.

I would also like to thank you personally, I never had a doubt that you would do a fab job, but you cant help worry when you organise something via email and overseas, that something may go wrong. We will be in touch again shortly to organise everything again for next year.

Once again, very many thanks.”
