Dooks is a popular club - with some 12,000 visitors every year, because of the modest green fees and the welcome received. There is a lot of history in the club and this is evident in the banter between members who have played golf through good times and bad.

It was the members who saved Dooks in the early sixties by raising funds to buy the club. Shortly afterwards the course was extended to 18 holes with 9 members assigned the responsibilty for building a hole each. Understandably, there is great pride in Dooks Golf Club and as former Captain Mike Breen, says "There's always a great buzz in the bar and the club's name is 'Friendly Dooks.' It's wonderful to be a member here."

Membership for 2010 is now open! The Club have introduced new Special Offers for people to join this wonderful golf club. For just €166 per month you can become a Full Member. The Club have also introduced a new spousal rate for just €75 per month. Terms and conditions apply to all offers.
